"One little wrong won't hurt." These words have been said by many people throughout the world, saved and unsaved. Most have realized how untrue the statement is.
Sometimes you can bring unforeseen hardships into your life; your whole life can be changed in a moment by that "one little wrong" and sometimes the damage is permanent. The lives of others can also be affected by wrong decisions you make. Never make wrong decisions. It is never just one little wrong. It will always amount to more than you can foresee. Always do what is right. For the benefit of yourself, your family and friends and most importantly because God requires you.
Consider the story of Adam and Eve.
All of us know that the devil deceived Eve and she took the fruit of the tree, Adam too disobeyed God. Sin entered the world, bringing death too.
It was a simple choice with serious consequences. Eating the fruit was not a serious problem - it was the fact that they had disobeyed God. Immediately their lives changed. We find them covering themselves with leaves and hiding from God. They had caused separation between themselves and God. They no longer felt comfortable approaching their Creator.
They had to leave the Garden of Eden - FOREVER. Now all mankind would suffer because they made the wrong decision - life would be full of hardship, pain and sorrow.
Life would never be the same. Adam and Eve would no longer be able to walk beside Almighty God in the Garden - yes God forgave them but their sin had consequences and they had to live with those consequences.
Who would've thought that such a little act (as eating from the forbidden tree) would bring such chaos and undesired consequences? Adam and Eve's decision to disobey God affected their lives in more ways than they could have thought, but it also affected the lives of others (all mankind).
That's why we must be careful to never make wrong decisions. No matter how small and insignificant the wrong may seem to be, the consequence(s) will be more than you can see.
Every time you sin and do a wrong you cause separation between yourself and God - yes you are still saved, still a Child of the King, but you will no longer feel comfortable in His presence. You won't have the assurance in your heart that God is blessing your life. (Isaiah 59:1 "...your iniquities have seperated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.)
It only took one wrong to ruin the whole world and it can only take one wrong to ruin your whole life too.
"A little leaven, leaveneth the whole lump" Galatians 5:9
Always remember: You will either enjoy the blessings of your decisions or suffer the consequences of your decisions, depending if your decisions are based on the word of God or not.
