All of us go through 'hard times'. No one volunteers for the hard times but we just can't avoid them.
Perhaps you've lost a loved one or a good friend. Maybe there's some other sorrow or tragedy has come into your life. Perhaps you've experienced the painful experience of being forsaken by someone you loved, someone you trusted.
Whatever the difficulties and troubles may be in your life you can rise above them all.
As a Christian, we will never have to face the smallest problem alone. Christ is always near us.
He knows exactly how we feel. In fact He knew all about the trouble, before it came.
Remember He is God; He knows the future, so we can always be sure He knows everything that is going on - and will never give us more than we can bear.
Never forget Jesus Christ is the One who died for us, He is not hard-hearted. "...we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities..." (Hebrews 4:15)
Christ will never forsake His child. You are precious in His sight.
Hard times can often make us feel low. Some of us stumble and feel like a failure. But the Heavenly Father does not want you to fret.
Do not be afraid, when the storms of life blow hard, never forget the hard times make you strong.
We have a strong and compassionate Saviour, who will never forsake us.
Very often, because we can't see our Saviour, it is difficult to remember He is with us. But we can rest assured that Christ is right beside us. He knows all about our pain. It is us who don't understand the heartache of Christ.
What was He feeling when He knelt and prayed "not my will but Thine be done" and sweat as it were great drops of blood- what was He thinking? Can we ever understand how dark Calvary was?
Christ knows what heartache feels like, He knows what it is like to be betrayed (remember Judas), forsaken (by His close friends) and denied (by Peter). Christ continued on, He went forth to be mocked and beaten, to be hated and then crucified.
Don't you think we'd have 'thrown in the towel' by now?If anyone knows what heartache and pain is like surely it is Christ. This is the One who is there with us during those hard times. Surely you can trust Him!
